The base cabinet is made of MDF. A high-quality wood material covered with a foil. The matte black foil provides a waterproof covering so that it is suitable for damp areas. The base cabinet is equipped with two drawers. The drawers rest in the Hettich rail system and close softly. This results in a virtually silent closing.

Due to its composition of two different substances, solid surface is a sensible long-term choice: it is wear-resistant, clean (because there are no tiny openings or seams), stain-resistant and moisture-resistant. The robustness of the material ensures that corrosive and aggressive substances, for example, do not affect the surface.
